How many people are homeless in New Jersey?

Each year, a point-in-time survey is conducted nationwide to count the number of homeless people in our country at one time. The results for New Jersey:

  • On January 27, 2010, there were 12,569 homeless men, women, and children counted across the state of New Jersey.
  • On January 28, 2009, there were 12,035 homeless men, women, and children counted across the state of New Jersey.
  • On January 29, 2008, there were 10,947 homeless men, women, and children counted across the state of New Jersey.
