The process for Group Volunteering is different than the individual volunteer process.
For your group to qualify under our "group volunteering" policy, the group must be one of the following:
If your group meets the above criteria, please read the specifics and sign up below.
Groups consisting of family or friends should sign up as individual volunteers and must complete the orientation and placement process as individual volunteers.
Groups with children under age 16 may not volunteer in the kitchen at the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, but we may have some volunteer opportunites on-site for middle-school and high-school aged groups. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator with any inquiries. Groups with children younger than middle school may not volunteer on-site, but can volunteer from May through August at our farms. We can suggest some creative ways that you can involve your group off-site such as organizing a collection drive. You can also have a representative from the Mission visit your group of younger children to talk about homelessness and how the Mission helps. Please email the Volunteer Coordinator with information about your group and a project you'd like to do, or a date that you'd like to have a speaker visit your group.
Unfortunately, we are not able to have young children volunteer on-site. Please join us in volunteering on one of our farms (in season) or check out Creative Ways to volunteer, or look through our information for parents.
