Donate Furniture

Project Restart is a ministry that provides used furniture, small appliances, and household items to our homeless guests who are ready to move into their own housing. Without help from Project Restart, men, women, and families who have worked so hard to get back on their feet would end up sleeping on the floor in their new apartments because they lack the funding for furniture! But with help from Project Restart and you, they can receive all of the basic items they need.

How To Give Your Used Items

If you live in Atlantic County or Cape May County call 609-345-5517 ext 114 and leave a message with your name, telephone number, where you live, and the items you have to donate.  Please be patient!  They are often on the road picking up or delivering items and will most likely call you back the next day. At that time they will schedule a pickup, usually for the following week. If they happen to be working in your area, your pickup may occur sooner.

Sorry, but Project Restart cannot pick up items from outside Atlantic or Cape May Counties.

Project Restart Needs Volunteers!

Project Restart needs volunteers. Right now, we need someone who can drive a box truck (no CDL required) and no heavy lifting is required. It is helpful, but not necessary, if you own a pickup truck or cargo van and are willing to use your own vehicle. Hours needed include Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings. We also need volunteers to work in the warehouse to help sort linens and other items.

Contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 609-345-5517 and specify that you would like to volunteer with Project Restart. The Volunteer Coordinator will help you fill out the volunteer application and invite you for an interview.
